POSITION: Paralegal
LOCATION: Santa Rosa
SALARY: $65k-$70k/yr. DOE
DESCRIPTION: Will mainly support the construction defect, complex litigation and insurance defense practice. Duties: Prepares legal documents, filings, and general correspondence with accuracy and precision. Propounds and responds to discovery. Efficiently handles case management order compliance. Responsible for e-filing with State and Federal Court Systems. Prepare cases for depositions, mediations and trials. Supports Attorney (s) in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions. Drafts responses to discovery, such as interrogatories and requests for production. Drafts discovery requests to opposing parties. Qualifications: Paralegal certification required. 5+ years litigation paralegal experience preferred. Construction litigation experience a plus. Knowledge of State and Federal court filings, including E-filings and remote filings within State and Federal Courts. Experience interacting with court clerks and attorney services. Must be proactive and have strong organizational skills including exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize and excellent follow-through. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and ability to write and speak professionally. Extensive knowledge of court rules. Strong proficiency with computer programs: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe. They pay 100% for employee health benefits
