DESCRIPTION: Retired civil litigator looking for a recent Bar admittee to assist in the jury trial of a personal injury case (representing the plaintiff) in Ukiah (Mendocino County) that begins October 21. Position will be full time (and intense) but temporary, starting ASAP. You will get hands-on experience with trial prep, motions in limine, voir dire, direct and cross examination of lay witnesses and experts, jury instructions, etc. Moot court, drama background and word processing skills helpful but not required. POSITION: Paralegal

DESCRIPTION: Bachelors Degree or Paralegal Certificate required. Minimum 1 year experience in a similar office environment required, Law Firm preferred. Able to work in a high pressure environment. A California law firm and benefit corporation specializing in the overlapping critical infrastructure sectors of energy, water, and agriculture are looking for a part time law clerk who is interested in renewable energy development in California, public agency law, and would like to learn about legal and business operational practices in the water and energy sector. Law clerk tasks could include editing new public contracts, researching public agency legal requirements (Brown Act, Public Records Act), as well as developing an understanding of the legal and regulatory structure in California.
